It’s funny how the briny sea air relaxes, even after two days of hard work with the team to get nice pictures of the new pieces for Spring 2026. The setting for this shoot was the Zeeland coastal town of Zoutelande, not far from Middelburg and Vlissingen. The weather was brilliant when we arrived, ideal for a location check, but on the first day of the shoot there was a strong sea breeze, forcing us to shoot in corners and behind the dunes to avoid clothes flapping tightly against the model’s body and her hair flying wildly around her face. Fortunately, the weather on the second day was again fantastic with nothing but sun, which we celebrated before lunch with a herring at the market - without chopped onion or gherkin, we leave that stuff to the people up north. The only way to end such a perfect day, of course, is in a beach bar, with a big pan of mussels and white wine. A toast to Spring 2026!
